What is "climate-neutral"?
"Climate-neutral" refers to businesses, processes or products whose greenhouse gas emissions were calculated and offset through the purchase of emission allowances. Climate-neutrality means that the product or service described as climate-neutral, does not change the CO2 balance of our atmosphere. Therefore, climate-neutral means either that the "product" is produced, used and disposed of (which is rare) without generating CO2-emissions; or that the resulting greenhouse gas emissions can be avoided elsewhere, so that the negative effect on the climatic equilibrium will be neutralized.

What is "climate-neutral printing"?
"Climate-neutral printing" refers to print productions whose greenhouse gas emissions were calculated and offset by the purchase of emission allowances. ClimatePartner has developed a standardized method for print and media productions with which to calculate the emissions of an individual print product - on request and expense of the print company?s customer ? and to offset these by investing in approved climate protection projects.

What are the costs?
Certification fees for offsetting CO2-emissions only vary between 1 to 3% of the production costs, depending on paper selection and other production parameters.
